Best Homemade Breakfast Recipe to Make Idli Sambar For Family

Method to Make 

Preparation of Sambar Powder

  11. Shut with lid and boil for five minutes.
  12. Once it's cooked, switch the flame and drizzle clarified butter over it.
  13. Serve with piping hot, downlike idlis

Step by Step Guide

Firstly prepare sambar powder by preparation all the spices needed and so grinding them into a fine powder.

The heat had to oil in a very pan & add mustard seeds. Once they begin sputtering add curry leaves, dry red chillies, asafoetida and garlic cloves. Fry well and add roughly shredded shallots. Saute and cook for a minimum of three to four minutes on low to medium flame with lid closed.

Further, add shredded tomatoes in conjunction with salt & turmeric powder.

Cook till tomatoes flip soft and mushy.

add pressure cooked tuvar decaliter and blend well.

Also, add jaggery and tamarind pulp and mix.

Further, add ready sambar powder and blend well.

Adjust gravy consistency and salt.

Boil on average flame and at last, add a tbsp of clarified butter to boost the flavour of sambar. Avoid adding vegetables in an Idli sambar.
